Support rollers
JFK rolling bearings
- High radial load capacity
- With or without axial guidance
- Available seals
JFK needle roller track rollers are guidance units for applications on tracks, cams, and linear motion systems with high radial loads. Compared to ball cam rollers, they offer higher radial load capacity thanks to the line contact between rollers and raceways. The range is divided into two families based on the presence or absence of axial guidance: versions with axial guidance (NATR, NATV, NUTR) can withstand axial forces caused by lateral misalignment, while versions without axial guidance (STO, RSTO, NA22) require external guide surfaces and are suitable for flat tracks.
Each JFK support roller is supplied lubricated with lithium-based grease (–30°C/+110°C) and equipped with integrated seals for protection against contaminants. They are available with cylindrical or crowned outer rings depending on the series and application.
Versions
How to choose the right support roller
The main consideration is whether or not an axial guidance is needed. Models with an axial guide are more versatile; those without are more compact and better suited for flat tracks.
Support rollers with axial guide
NATR, NATV, NUTR series. Equipped with lateral flanges on the outer ring acting as axial guides, supporting axial forces caused by lateral misalignment between the roller and the track. Suitable for V- or U-shaped tracks. Supplied with integrated seals and lithium-based grease as standard. NATR · NATV · NUTR · Integrated axial guide · V- or U-shaped guides
Support rollers without axial guide
STO, RSTO, NA22 series. Cylindrical outer ring without lateral flanges. They require external guide surfaces for axial constraint. The RSTO series features a crowned outer ring surface to compensate for alignment errors. Suitable for flat tracks. Supplied with integrated seals and lithium-based grease as standard. STO · RSTO · NA22 · Without axial guide · Flat tracks
Performances
Design and performance features
Linear contact between rollers and raceways for high radial load capacity on tracks and cams, with or without integrated axial guidance.
Speed
Low and medium rotational speeds Suitable for low and medium speeds, typical of applications involving industrial guides and cams.
Lubrication
Lithium-based grease · –30°C/+110°C Supplied lubricated with lithium-based grease as standard, suitable for temperatures ranging from –30°C to +110°C. The integrated seals protect the grease from contaminants and extend its service life.
Load
The linear contact between rollers and raceways ensures higher radial load capacity compared to ball track rollers. Suitable for applications with significant radial loads on guides and cams.
Axial guidance
With or without, depending on the series The NATR/NATV/NUTR series include lateral flanges for axial guidance, while the STO/RSTO/NA22 series require external axial guidance. The choice of series depends on the track design and the possible presence of lateral misalignment.
Seal
Integrated seals Equipped with integrated seals to protect against dust, dirt, and moisture. They help retain the lubricating grease and extend the service life without the need for relubrication.
Outer ring
Cylindrical or crowned Cylindrical outer ring available for most series. The RSTO series features a crowned outer ring to compensate for alignment errors between the roller and the track.
Mounting
Mounting of support rollers
Needle roller track rollers are mounted on the stud or support shaft. For versions with axial guidance, check that the track profile is compatible with the lateral flanges of the outer ring. Lubrication is ensured by the lithium-based grease supplied as standard; relubrication is not required under normal operating conditions.
Installation Mounting
- Mounting on a fixed studThe track roller is mounted on a fixed stud secured to the structure. The outer ring rotates freely while the stud remains stationary. Check the fitting tolerances between the inner bore and the stud.
- Versions with axial guide (NATR/NATV/NUTR)Check that the track profile is compatible with the lateral flanges of the outer ring. The flanges provide the axial guidance of the roller on the track.
- Versions without axial guide (STO/RSTO/NA22)They require external track surfaces for axial constraint. The RSTO series, with its crowned outer ring, automatically compensates for small lateral alignment errors.

Applications
Applications
Components and application support for every industrial environment.
Industrial automation
Linear guides and motion systems with high radial loads in automated machinery. Versions with axial guidance are suitable for V- or U-shaped tracks, while versions without axial guidance are designed for flat tracks with external axial constraint.Metal Fabrication / Machining Industry
Mold guides and sliding systems on machine tools with high radial loads. The higher load capacity compared to ball track rollers makes them suitable even for applications with intensive load cycles.Transmissions and axles
Cam systems and linear motion guides with significant radial loads. The RSTO series, featuring a crowned outer ring, is particularly suitable for systems where perfect perpendicular alignment between the roller and the guide cannot be guaranteed.Agriculture
Guides and sliding systems on agricultural machinery exposed to dirt and moisture. The integrated seals and lithium-based grease ensure reliable operation even under harsh environmental conditions.Contacts
