JFK roller recirculating linear guides
JFK linear guides
- Extremely high load capacity
- Maximum rigidity
- Shock and vibration resistance
JFK roller recirculating linear guides, also known as roller guides or roller linear guides, are a high-performance solution for linear motion systems requiring high load capacity, rigidity, and precision. Unlike ball versions, they use cylindrical rollers that provide a larger contact surface, allowing them to support higher loads and offer greater resistance to deformation.
Particularly suitable for heavy-duty applications and machinery where stability and precision must be maintained even under high loads, JFK roller recirculating linear guides offer very high load capacity thanks to the rollers’ line contact, high rigidity, excellent resistance to shock and vibration, and smooth, controlled linear motion even under the most demanding operating conditions.
Performances
Design and performance features
Cylindrical recirculating rollers and hardened profiled rails for the optimal combination of load capacity, rigidity, and precision in the most demanding applications.
Load
Extremely high load capacity for heavy-duty applications The line contact of cylindrical rollers provides a significantly larger contact surface than balls, allowing much higher loads to be supported in all directions.
Rigidity
Maximum structural rigidity of the system The line-contact geometry minimizes deformation under load, ensuring dimensional stability and positioning accuracy even under high loads.
Shock and vibration resistance
Suitable for the most demanding applications The robust design and high dynamic load capacity make these guides particularly resistant to shock, vibration, and impact loads typical of heavy-duty machining.
Precision
Smooth operation even under heavy loads Despite their high load capacity, hardened and ground profiled rails ensure smooth motion and positioning accuracy comparable to ball recirculating linear guides.
Preload
Adjustable to eliminate play Available in different preload classes to eliminate internal play and further increase system rigidity according to the expected loads and operating conditions.
Mounting
Roller recirculating linear guide installation
Installation requires the specified flatness and alignment tolerances of the rail and carriage mounting surfaces to ensure the stated load capacity and positioning accuracy are maintained.
Installation Mounting
- Direct rail fixingThe rail is secured using through-bolts on a machined reference surface with the flatness required for the selected accuracy class.
- Carriage installation with preloadThe carriage (or block) is installed with the preload specified for the application, checking for the absence of play and smooth, consistent movement along the entire travel.
