JFK stainless steel bearings

JFK ball bearings

  • Corrosion resistance
  • Harsh environments
  • Stainless steel bearings for the food and pharmaceutical industries

Stainless steel bearings are rolling bearings made from high-performance stainless steel, resistant to oxidation, moisture, and chemicals, designed to operate in harsh environments and applications with high hygiene requirements. Also known as stainless steel or rust-resistant bearings, JFK stainless steel bearings combine excellent corrosion protection with good load capacity, operating precision, and reduced maintenance requirements.

Thanks to these features, stainless steel ball bearings are the benchmark solution for the food, pharmaceutical, chemical, medical, and marine industries, as well as for systems exposed to water or frequent washdowns, where cleanliness and corrosion resistance are top priorities.

They are available in different types, sizes, and configurations and can be supplied with shields, seals, and specialized lubricants to suit different operating conditions and the hygiene requirements of each application.

Performances

Design and performance features

High-performance stainless steel for corrosion resistance, cleanliness, and reliability in harsh environments.

Material

High-performance AISI 440 C stainless steel

Superior protection against oxidation, one of the reasons why rust-resistant bearings are the benchmark choice for humid and chemically aggressive environments, typical of the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries.

Load

Good load capacity

They provide good load capacity and operating precision even in harsh environments, maintaining performance over time.

Seal

Specialized shields and lubricants available

Stainless steel bearings are available with specialized shields, seals, and lubricants to suit different operating conditions and the hygiene requirements of each application.

Maintenance

Reduced maintenance

The use of stainless steel helps reduce machine downtime and extend component service life, lowering maintenance costs.

Cleaning

High hygiene standards

Stainless steel ball bearings are suitable for environments with high hygiene requirements and frequent washdowns. Their resistance to cleaning solutions makes them the benchmark choice for the food, pharmaceutical, and medical industries.

Mounting

Installation of stainless steel bearings

Stainless steel bearings are mounted with an interference fit on the shaft and a clearance fit in the housing (or vice versa, depending on the load conditions), following the same practice used for standard deep groove ball bearings. Shielded or sealed versions do not require washing and must not be exposed to temperatures exceeding the rated limits of the sealing materials.

Mounting methods

  1. Direct press fit on the shaftUsing a mounting tool that applies the force to the inner ring, never transferring the load through the rolling elements.
  2. Heating the inner ringFor larger bearings, use oil-bath or induction heating to facilitate mounting on the shaft.

Applications

Applications

Components and application support for every industrial environment.

Discover

Industrial automation

Production facilities subject to frequent washdowns, humid environments, or exposure to chemicals. Stainless steel bearings ensure operational continuity without the risk of corrosion or product contamination.
Discover

Automotive / Motorcycles, Trucks & Buses

Applications exposed to weather, moisture, and saline solutions. Corrosion resistance reduces replacement frequency and maintenance costs.
Discover

Agriculture

Agricultural machinery exposed to moisture, mud, and chemicals. Stainless steel bearings withstand the environmental conditions typical of the sector without requiring additional protection.
Discover

Poultry Industry

Humid environments, exposure to disinfectant solutions, and frequent high-pressure washdowns. Stainless steel bearings are the standard choice for conveyors, chains, and actuators in these environments.
